Engine conversion of my first Hako combination unit: narrow gauge and equipped with a very tired Bernard w117 bis engine (the exhaust valve tended to get stuck!).
I chose to replace it with a 6.5hp Ecomoteur EM65-X, due to its good value for money. The operation was facilitated by the presence of an adapter plate on the chassis, and the only modification required was to connect the existing throttle control by adding a return spring and slightly loosening the control nut. The motor has a lot of torque, I kept the original three-groove pulley which allows me to use the three speeds by moving the belt on the plate.
It starts right up and, above all, it's nothing like it in terms of noise; it's significantly quieter.
With the oil bath air filter option, I end up with a machine in "professional" configuration which will allow me to maintain the engine's performance for many years.
