How does the ordering process work?

The payment

What payment methods are offered?

 

  • Bank card:

The customer can make a secure payment by credit card via the Shopify Payment portal.

  • PayPal:

The customer can make a payment via the Paypal payment portal by logging into their account.

Payment in 4 installments may be offered by Paypal subject to their acceptance.

  • Payment :

The customer can select payment by bank transfer; in this case, the seller's bank details are provided during order confirmation. The order is then processed upon receipt of the transfer or a transfer notification (only transfer notifications sent directly by the customer's bank are accepted; screenshots or scans are not accepted).

  • Check:

We offer payment by check, in cash or in installments; please consult our general terms and conditions of sale for all the details.

For fraud prevention purposes, please note that for all orders paid by check, shipping will be systematically made to the address on the check; no exceptions to this rule are possible.

Am I eligible for a VAT exemption?

As a general rule, all orders are invoiced inclusive of all taxes, including VAT. However, in certain situations, an exemption or an invoice excluding VAT may apply. Here is a detailed explanation of the applicable conditions:

Orders invoiced inclusive of VAT.

  • By default, all orders intended for individuals in the European Union or companies in France are subject to VAT.
  • The rate applied corresponds to the VAT rate in effect at the time of invoicing.

Exceptions to VAT-inclusive invoicing

1. Professional Fisherman
Subject to providing the necessary supporting documents with each order :

  • SIRET number
  • Ship registration certificate (proving professional activity)
  • Valid identity document

The exemption request must be renewed and validated annually. Without up-to-date supporting documents, the VAT-inclusive invoice will remain in effect.

Procedure to follow :

Create a customer profile on our website.

  • Send the required documents to contact@sdc-imports.fr
  • After validation of your supporting documents, the tax refund will be activated on your customer account.

2. Delivery outside the European Union

  • Includes: Overseas territories, Switzerland, the United Kingdom or any other country outside the EU.
  • These orders are invoiced excluding taxes (HT) , but customs duties or local taxes may be payable upon receipt by the recipient.
  • The price excluding VAT does not exempt the buyer from import formalities and fees. It is recommended to check with local customs authorities.
  • The exemption is automatically applied when an eligible delivery address is selected.

3. Company based in an EU country (excluding France)

  • If your company is registered in another European Union country (outside France) and has a valid intra-community VAT number , the order will be invoiced excluding VAT under the intra-community delivery schemes.

Procedure to follow :

  • Create your customer profile.
  • Send an email to contact@sdc-imports.fr with your valid intra-community VAT number.
  • After verification, the exemption will be activated on your customer account.

Delivery

How much does shipping cost?

For delivery within mainland France (excluding Corsica), the standard shipping costs are as follows:

  • For purchases between €0 and €50 : €10 for home delivery, €6 for delivery to a collection point
  • For purchases between €50 and €150: €4 for home delivery, shipping included to a collection point
  • From €150: shipping included

An express shipping option is also available for packages under 30kg at a cost of €15.

For other delivery addresses, shipping costs are calculated automatically based on the weight of the products ordered once the delivery address has been entered.

Which carrier will ship the order?

  • For packages under 30kg , which typically include spare parts and petrol engines under 7hp, we primarily ship via Chronopost . In certain specific cases (e.g., deliveries to Corsica), we use Colissimo .
  • For parcels over 30kg, shipments are made on pallets via Geodis for mainland France or via Kuehne & Nagel for the rest of Europe.

What are the delivery times?

For delivery within mainland France (excluding Corsica), the estimated delivery times are as follows.

  • Parcels under 30kg : delivery time of 2 to 4 working days from order validation.
  • Packages over 30kg (pallet delivery): We have two pallet shipments per week, on Tuesdays and Thursdays, for orders placed before 10:00 AM on the day of shipment. Delivery time is 48 to 72 hours from the date of shipment. (e.g., an order placed on Saturday will be shipped on Tuesday and therefore delivered on Thursday or Friday)

These delivery times are provided for informational purposes only and do not take into account any unforeseen transport incidents beyond our control that may extend the delivery time. They apply only to products listed as in stock and requiring no modifications or additional options before shipment.

For other destinations, shipping times remain the same, but delivery times may be longer; please do not hesitate to contact us if you would like an estimate.
