Hako combination machine with JLO 2-stroke engine, replaced by a 6.5HP EM65-X
Engine conversion of my second Hako combination machine: wide track and equipped with a JLO 2-stroke engine, which runs rough on mixture, is noisy and sometimes temperamental on carburetion or ignition.
I also opted to replace it with a 6.5hp Ecomoteur EM65-X, paired with a single-groove pulley corresponding to the main operating range, as the existing pulley could not be reused. Adding an adapter plate to the chassis was also necessary, and as with the other setup, connecting the existing throttle control was done by adding a return spring and slightly loosening the control nut.
The adaptation will also have required reconditioning the belt guide for its attachment to the chassis and the position of the upper guide.
The engine also has plenty of torque and starts instantly.
With the oil bath air filter option, I also end up with a machine in a "professional" configuration which will allow me to maintain the engine's performance for many years.
