Villiers G390 engine mounted on a lawn tractor for 24-hour endurance racing.
The team consists of 7 drivers, and stops are only for refueling and driver changes (approximately every 2.5 hours, 8-liter tank). Two 5-10 minute stops for engine oil changes every 2.5 hours for 24 hours is insufficient; the engines are put under considerable strain, running at maximum RPM on straightaways (60 km/h), and also experiencing strong acceleration uphill (engine RPM is often high). There is no suspension on the tractor, resulting in a lot of shocks for the engine.
At Mag Moteurs we are happy because this team finished 2nd out of 62 participating tractors with a total of 698km in 24h.
We thank them for wanting to try our Villiers engines; for their next races they are currently mounting the 15HP engines, the Villiers G420, so we are eager to have their feedback and impressions.
